Malaika was founded in 2004 by Margarita Andrade and Goya Gallagher who moved to Egypt after growing up in Ecuador. They decided to utilize Egyptian cotton to make high-quality bed linens which were not available in the local market. Malaika's key focus is to teach hand embroidery to local women, giving them the opportunity to improve their economic standing by learning a valuable skill. S

ince its launch, Malaika has built its own factory and in 2018 they opened their own embroidery school. Malaika now produces a range of products, including silkscreen-printed accessories, soft terrycloth bath towels, cushions and beautifull embroidered table linens, all utilizing the finest Egyptian materials.

The Tulip Napkins are made of 100% linen and feature a stunning hand-embroidered floral motif.
