Founded by Deborah Fribourg and Sarah Vallimarescu, Cimelio Blu was born out of their shared love for family, design, and travel.
Deborah is an interior designer who found her passion at a young age as she was immersed in her mother’s world of eclectic, antique fabrics. Deborah saw firsthand how her mother had the power to curate objects from all over the world. These items became family heirlooms not only for their beauty, but more importantly, the context in which they existed.
Sarah’s shared passion for culture and design also came at an early age. Born in Paris and having lived in London prior to New York City, she developed a keen appreciation for not only design but also the people that influenced it. After over ten years in retail at big brands and smaller fashion houses, it became clear to her that authentic stories are the true drumbeat that drive community, celebration, and culture.
Together, Deborah and Sarah aim to amplify stories, cultures, and heirlooms from near and far into the homes of those that appreciate artful living for a joyful life.
