These Daisy Hexagon dessert plates feature dainty hand-painted daisies on a uniquely shaped hexagon shape. Made from high-fired Aswan clay and finished with a lead-free glaze, these plates can be used to serve sweet treats or as decorative objects around the house.

Malaika was founded in 2004 by Margarita Andrade and Goya Gallagher who moved to Egypt after growing up in Ecuador. They decided to utilize Egyptian cotton to make high-quality bed linens which were not available in the local market. Malaika's key focus is to teach hand embroidery to local women, giving them the opportunity to improve their economic standing by learning a valuable skill.

Since its launch, Malaika has built its own factory and in 2018 they opened their own embroidery school. Malaika now produces a range of products, including silkscreen-printed accessories, soft terry cloth bath towels, cushions and beautiful embroidered table linens, all utilizing the finest Egyptian materials.
