The sustainably sourced iraca palm leaf is worked entirely by hand by generations of Colombian artisans whose weaving techniques have been refined over lifetimes. Each tray takes almost two weeks to complete — a pace that is entirely at odds with the world we live in, and entirely worth it.

Magnetic Midnight is the creation of Colombian designer Lucia Echavarría, whose statement pieces merge a modern aesthetic with a deep love of traditional craft. Each piece is handmade in Colombia through a painstaking process involving a network of skilled artisans across the country — lamp makers, weavers, and craftspeople whose techniques have been passed down through generations.
